ONC (g)(10) Standardized API

The ONC (g)(10) Standardized API test kit (version 8.0.7, on Inferno) is what certifies an API for § 170.315(g)(10). This suite runs every check from that kit that a FHIR TestScript can express, for the options SMART App Launch 2.2.0, US Core 7.0.0 and Bulk Data 2.0.0. Each TestScript's title starts with the kit's own test number, so a result here maps back to a test there.

The kit's scenarios each run as a different principal, and so do these:

  • 1 and 2: a patient signed in to a standalone app, first with every US Core type granted, then with only Patient, Condition and Observation.
  • 3: a practitioner signed in to an EHR-launched app.
  • 12: the US Core 7 single patient API: every SHALL search with its variants, reads, _revinclude of Provenance, must-support elements, reference resolution and profile validation.
  • 8: a backend client using Bulk Data.
  • 9.22 and 9.25: SMART v1 scopes and fine-grained, category-limited scopes.

Some kit tests can't run in a TestScript at all: TLS version probing, the browser login and consent steps, requests to the token endpoint, the contents of token, id_token and discovery documents, Bulk Data NDJSON files, and the tester attestations. The suite's README lists each of them by test number, with the reason.

Known gaps

TestScripts that fail against Haste Health today, grouped by cause. CI skips them until the gap is closed, and each counts as not passing above.
